Gaming with Girl Scouts Troop 6000

We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our recent fundraising event for Girl Scouts Troop 6000, a heartwarming initiative aimed at not only supporting the troop but also advocating for greater female representation in our beloved board gaming hobby.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and the shared passion for inclusivity, we successfully raised over $1,200! Along with the funds raised we also gifted each Girl Scout a copy of Her Story. The Troop also left with a collection of 70 board games for them to use in their recreation centers.

Our commitment to empowering girls extends beyond the board, pushing for more women to join and thrive in our gaming community. By providing the Girl Scouts with this collection of games, we hope to inspire a love for strategic thinking, teamwork, and creativity—values that are at the core of both board gaming and leadership.

The inclusion of Her Story, encourages them to explore narratives and perspectives while fostering a deeper connection with influential women in history. We believe that representation matters, and by introducing these young minds to a variety of games, we aim to break down barriers and encourage girls to see themselves as integral members of the gaming community.

As we celebrate the success of this fundraising event, let's continue to champion diversity and inclusivity in the world of board gaming. Together, we can create a space where everyone, regardless of gender, feels welcome and inspired to explore the joy and camaraderie that board games bring.
