Long Island Tabletop Expo & Upcoming Events
What a blast we had at the Long Island Tabletop Expo this month! It was fantastic to see so many gamers come together to play games, support local artists, paint some minis, and play RPGs. We're thrilled to be there again this year to host another raffle to help raise funds. We had a great time spreading the word about our mission. We connected with amazing individuals, from healthcare workers to teachers and community organizers, who are all on board with our vision of using board games to make a positive impact and we're currently working on getting games to various organizations that we met this weekend.
The response from the community was overwhelming. Thanks to Boardtopia who donated enough games to fill our car we were able to hold our largest raffle yet with over 100 games. We raised over $3,300 during the expo! That means we can now expand our game day program to include assisted living and memory care facilities, bringing joy and connection to even more people in need.
Thanks to all of you who support us month after month– together, we're making a real difference. We're ironing out details for us to attend the Long Island TCG Show and a few other conventions that well be attending. More importantly is we're going to be visiting a domestic violence shelter this month along with other charities based in NY to provide those families with a mental health day. We'll be providing guided meditation, Zumba class, board games for families to play together. We're going to be putting game bundles together so each family that's at the shelter will take at least 5 games home with them.
